The Freeman Stage relies on the generous support and dedication of our many volunteers. Volunteering at The Freeman Stage provides more than just the satisfaction of giving back to your community - it's also a lot of fun!
There are a number of ways you can be involved in The Freeman Stage, and we are happy to work with you to find a role that suits your passion. Our volunteers typically fall into one of the following areas:
Stage Performance Support
Volunteers are the backbone of The Freeman Stage, and there are a variety of roles volunteers can fill during performances. From directing traffic and parking, to welcoming and seating guests, to lending a hand in the gift and concessions stand, to assisting performers backstage - volunteers do it all! Volunteers working at the stage should be friendly and welcoming and are typically required to be available before and after performances.
Administrative Support
Working closely with Foundation team members, these volunteers typially work 3-4 hours each week on various administrative projects. Volunteers interested in administrative support should be available during the week. Willingness to use a computer and experience with the Microsoft Office suite is preferred.
Special Event & Promotional Support
Volunteers who work on promotional projects are typically asked to distribute flyers and posters in support of programming at The Freeman Stage. Volunteers intereted in promotional support should be comfortable driving short distances, and will be reimbursed for mileage costs. Volunteers interested in supporting special events and fundraisers should be friendly and service oriented.
